Got Bass?
I go to RITOP mobile electronic school in Boston and our project car is an 04 Infiniti G35. We are doing a full security system and audio system. One of my classmates and I are doing the trunk fabrication so here we go. Its for 3 JL W3 10's powered by a 1000/1.

Sorry about the bad quality pics from my phone, forgot my camera today.

That's going to look cool. Painted or wraped, and is the thing in the center a port.
I believe we are gonna paint it to match the car. The thing in the center is just a piece of mdf wrappped in tape. after we finish it, its getting pulled out and a small JL logo is getting etched into mirrored plexi and put there.

sweet, get final install pics up, and how do you like that school?
X2 how is going to a school like that?
Its pretty good. I've learned soo much since I started. I just wish it wasn't as rushed as it is. The program runs for 8 weeks and I feel like everything is just crammed in there. The instructors are very knowledgable and its great being in Boston but like I said its very rushed, beofre one topic sets into your head you are already on something different. I would highly recomend going to a school for anyone who may know a thing or two but wants to learn more. You learn everythign starting from basic electronic theory and then everything else. A lot of people on here put down the schools saying that only experience will get you by in this industry. I agree with them to an extent but it is a lot nicer and easier when you have more of a background in electronics.

yeah ive been thinking about going to one of those schools, and theres alot of people that say not to because learning yourself or hands on yourself is cheaper...but its hard to learn any of this when nobody else in my family does anything with cars at all...no tools except the basics for the house...i just think that if i did it by myself and tried learning, i would spend so much money from screwing up, buying tools..and i just cant go practice on somebody elses car to do things either..

If you have the money to do it, by all means go for it. I had previous experience, I've been building custom boxes for a while and doing installs on the side for a little extra money, I even worked at a shop for a little while. There's only 7 in my class and most of them have no to very little experience. I think that they are getting a lot more out of the program than I am but I'm still happy I decided to do it.

well i am looking in to a school also, and i have a ton of hands on experience, but you can always learn more info. the main thing i am searching around for is mainly an advanced school. i dont need a whole lot of basics. but it would be nice for a school to refresh all the basics and then get into the advanced stuff after about 2 weeks. i am basically trying to research to find the best school. any suggestions?

Can you do alarms and remote starts? Are you looking to learn a lot of fabrication?
