I recently re-done my system and i heard the nagging and *****ing "I want a new system" blah blah... well I uninstalled her shit and finally got it sold... as of yesterday its up to par and pretty impressive in my opinion

Headunit: Pioneer deh5900IB

Wire: Raptor 0/1 (Been installed) Kicker anl

Coax's: Cadence zr 6x9's ($30) Pioneer 4x6 ($30)

Amp: Hifonics 1606D (@ 2ohms)

Subs: 2 DD 510's (thanks JLFX)

sounds nice in her 85 ***** Am.. rattles the piss outta her car... I just like the look on folks face when Most Teen and adult men get PWNED by a girl... she's happy, im happy...

I doubt I mess much up on an 86 ***** Am, I'll get a short vid of the equip. and some playing soon i guess.. Im proud of it.. JLFX built the box and I picked up the 10's from him, so props.. I dont know why she didnt install the HU herself... she has done it more than once.. very capable young lady

Naw sir, I couldnt find any drop in dash speaks online that i liked so she went ahead and grabbed the Pioneers.. they were BNIB and her dad got em from somewhere

and i wasnt even gonna do 6x9's like that but A guy i know was tryin to move those BNIB Cadence 6x9's so I picked em up off him for $30 and tossed em in.. sounds WAAAY better than 22yr old stock speakers

which HU? the pioneer?

The dual is gaudy, and pitiful IMo.. it doesnt sound good, the speakers sound flat when using it, and pre-outs arent powerful enuff.. altho the iplug made mp3 hookup real easy

the pioneer is everything you could ask for in a standard cd/mp3 player.. strong preout voltage, MANY tuning possibilities, sleek and clean look.. clean sound and fairly easy operation.. I like it
