Fuses needed for distribution block

I have 4ga going from battery to fused distribution block.. the 8ga out of there to two amps (700 watt 4channel) and (1000 watt mono). I have an 80 on the 4ga wire from the battery.

What size fuses should I put in the distribution block?

wrong forum, but what amp is it going to? You should put no larger and no smaller a fuse then needed. Your best bet is to fuse the wire at the same rating as the amp itself is fused.

I am going to two Profile amps AP740M and AP1000M. The 740 has a single 40amp fuse on it and the 1000 has two 30amp fuses.

Hence the question... Like it says in the initial statement... 4ga split to 8ga.
