I'm still gathering supplies for my install.

I need help finding fuses, a main inline fuse holder, and a distribution block to hook stuff up. What are some quality goods and where can I get them?

Also, I read on bcae1.com that using an inline AGU fuse for the main fuse by the battery is dangerous b/c of overheating and that an ANL/ANE fuse would be better for that application. Any help finding decently priced quality products??

I was planning on using knukonceptz as I'm ordering the interconnects from them, but read that the distribution blocks aren't the best (connections are a little loose), and the ANL fuses/ fuse holders are hella expensive. Any other ideas?

As always, thanks.

what amps are you wiring up? i never had problems with agu fuses as long as it is the proper size for what you are using. 80 amp and up go anl. fuses are fuses so really doesn't matter brand. if your amps don't draw more then 80 amps of current a piece, then an agu fuse holder will work. first let us know what amps your using and what size wire you want to use

Give me a list of all of the parts that you need and I can get you some phoenix gold gear. And some NXG RCA's..*****in. I can also get metra, monster and streewires.

My prices will beat almost any other prices out there.

I just got a really good deal on some Streetwires wiring, so all I need is some RCAs (considering knukonceptz) and fuses/fuse holders/dblocks. This is the plan:

4guage from the battery back to a dblock

8guage out to 2 amps

Amps are (links provided):

Monitor1 mk4.70

RF punch 60.2 (old school)

As far as I could tell both amps have a 30A fuse onboard. Does that tell me anything?

What size fuse do I need at the main power line (by the battery)?

What size fuses do I need in the dblock?

Consider I may upgrade that old school RF amp to another Monitor 1 amp (such as: mk2.120 ) what should I use??

Thanks for the help.

i would run 4 ga. with an 80 amp fuse at the battery, and depending on how you wire it, 2 8 ga. wires to the amps with 30 amp fuses in the d-block. or you could just get some 1/0 wire, just incase you wanted to upgrade in the future. just my 2cents

I have one of these, i bught it when my schoshe fuse block melted the other day, very nice, saves money with fuses too, it just throws the breaker like a house. I'm very pleased with it.

I'm a little hesitant about using a breaker like that... I read that they're not foolproof in a car audio application - something about if it gets stuck... high heat under the hood... not reliable... car up in flames. Can't believe everthing you read though. But, there's hesitance.

Plus that particular one you linked to is 150A ... it wouldn't protect in my application. I'm using 4guage wire at the battery and 4guage is only rated at ~125A according to bcae1.com - I think that's a reliable source.

thanks for the input though.

Anyone have info on good quality dblocks that wouldn't be too expensive?? Any info on the knukonceptz dblocks??
