Fuse sizes for my in line fuse holder?

i would bump the wire size to at least 2 gauge. im running 8 gauge with around 1kw, and the wires get lil warm.

edit: but to answer your q, the max fuse rating for a 4 gauge is 150a and for 8 gauge i dunno around 80?

the higher the amperage the better?

and you mean go from 4 gauge to 2 gauge? and then split it off to 8 guage?

Edit: all i see on the knu konceptz website is 0/1 gauge then 4 then 8 gauge. but no 2...could I do 0/1 gauge and split off to 8 gauge to my amps? or do i do 0/1 to 4 gauge?

NO.... the numbas i gave you are the general MAXIMUM amperage you can use for a fuse. im running an 80a on a 4 gauge right now. its holding up fine.

no no run a 2 gauge through your car, and split off to whatever like i dunno haha, a 4 gauge and 8 gauge?

How big of a fuse do I need for my system?
should only be around 1420 watts max? figured I'd be using a 4 gauge power wire and then have it split to 2 8 guage wires to my amps.

so how big of a fuse do I need in my inline fuse holder and distro block?

thanks!
i have 4 gauge running from battery to distro block which is then split to 2 amps.30 amp fuse to my 35w rms x 4ch(8gauge) and a 60 amp fuse to my 700w rms x 2 ch(8 gauge to 1 farad capacitor from capacitor 4 gauge to amp.Under the hood i've got a 70 amp circuit breaker and have ran this setup for a long time with no problems.works like a charm
