Fuse Size?

Have a 2003 Civic EX. If I remember right, stock alt puts out max 75 amps. I have a fuse holder w/4 gauge off the battery. Would an 80 amp fuse suffice, or should I bump up to 100? Any reason why the fuse should be larger than the max alt output? Thanks!

I'll assume this is for the b3. Is it a agu style fuse or an anl? Just curious.

I have a 140a fuse on my 130a alt using ofc 4awg with zero issues. You should be fine.

No. My specs are in my sig. Basically Just fused 4guage running back to a splitter block into the amps. Has treated me well for years. I have a fat daddy 200 amp fuse that came with the wire kit in there now. No problems yet, but I figured I should get that huge fuse out of there.
