I just bought a Cadence ZRS-10 and realized it needs to be fused externally. Does anyone know the current draw on this amp??
yes...i don't know what the draw from that amp is, but the answer is yesisnt that a bit big? I've got 1/0 gauge kicker hyperflex wire coming off the main Optima Battery with a 300amp anl fuse, then going back to the second battery with another 300amp anl fuse within 6 inches of it, then to my distro block that splits to 2 4 gauge wires, and here is where I need another fuse before the sub amp, correct? I figured I need a fuse here corresponding to the current draw on the amp.
you want a fuse close to the front battery, and then on that same wire close to the rear battery...the idea is to prevent grounding the battery over the long runs of wireI'll end up having 3 fuses in my wiring. Should the second fuse (300amp) be before or after the second battery? or does it matter? The main thing is trying to find out what the fuse for the sub amp should be....
