if a wire fell off the speakers won't the sound have just stopped? or do you mean it is just touching metal? i mean i don't think that is the problem. the both had perfect sound, and then the stopped at the same time and a moment later the protect goes on. maybe the matters, with my old wires it came from the HU to a another harness in my kick panel and then to my speakers. and now i have it straight from the speaker to the HU.
