Fuse Problem...

Ok my friend is having some problem.....

on friday he was playing his system when his fuse on the power wire blew.....he changed it today and then it blew again... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

does anyone know why it keeps blowing?? or what we could do to prevent that?

btw he's running 1 furi amp and 1 15" mtx

Short somewhere...

The fuse is doing its job protecting the wire.

what size fuse is he using? it could be that the fuse rating is too low. just make sure you get a fuse that's according to the guage and length of the wire.

the fuse says 30 on it......and i think its what came with the wire

he bought two other 30s but as soon as he put another one in it blew 2 min later

How big is the amp...

you can fix a short by finding it and fixing it (electrical tape, new wire.. etc).

hmm the amp isn;t to big....i don't know how much watts...not a lot tho.

hmm ya I guess we'll have to check for any shortages...

also, he was adjusting something on the amp....and then thats when the fuses started to blow... would that have to do anything with it blowing??

30amp = roughy 300 watts max. Check the fuse rating on the amp itself. Use that amount, or the next step up.
