fuse poping

i have 2 15" solobarics with a ma audio 401sx model amp will run at 1/2 ohm so i have my speakers wired into a half ohm. my problem is i set my gain (turn gain down put radio a third of its max volume and turn gain up untill a little distortion and tweak it back down) my volume on this is 18 well when i play it at 18 for 10-15 minutes i end up destroying the fuse. i dont know if i need a thicker wire because the system is looking for more power, or the glass fuses **** please advise. other than that i can listen to my radio at 15,16 for hours and no problems. i am going to try putting a circuit breaker there instead any other ideas please let me know thanks

1. What size power/ground are you running, if you are trying to run @ .5 ohm w/ anything less than 0 ga, you are retarded.

2. What size fuse do you have in said connection?

3. What modifications have you done to the electrical system of your car?

the problem is the subs do i believe 1200 rms if i wire the subs in 2 ohm this amp only does 650 rms
No the problem is that you're trying to draw enough current through 4 ga wire to run at .5 ohm....

And your fuses are trying to tell you this.

im running 4 gauge wire. i figured i should go zero. ther are 3 40 amp fuses in amp so i have 100 amp glass fuses at battery only. and no upgrades to elect. system
You need to quit attempting to run that amp at .5ohm, at least until you have the supporting mods to support it.

It is people like you that lost .5 ohm warranty coverage for the rest of us

so if i change to zero gauge i should be fine and stop blowing fuses
No, you will fry your amp next... once the voltage drops into the low 10's it's going away. You need AT LEAST, the big 3, an extra battery, 0 ga to even attempt to run at .5ohm, that's not taking into account the size of your alt.

relax guy i just do it for fun not profeesional that is why im asking about it. im trying to figure out the problem. if you want to help then help
And i'm telling you exactly what is wrong and how to fix it....

NEVER NEVER NEVER attempt to run at .5 ohm on a STOCK electrical system, it can not feed enough current to your amplifier to keep it operating and it WILL fail.
