fuse or circuit breaker

Most systems use fuses is that because there better that breakers or they were done before breakers were around ? thinking about 300 amp main does it make a difference ?

I'm using a circuit breaker only but I had an amp that wouldnt turn off via the remote so I used the breaker to shut off power to it. It is nice though to think I wont be needing to buy fuses, its just a simple flip of a switch if it ever trips.

a circuit breaker can be reset and can be switched off if you need to work on something

Every time you use the breaker as a switch you reduce its reliability. Just something to think about.
