so you replaced the fuse and now it doesnt blow anymore? if so, then i dont see a problem with your amp.OK...I disconnected the power wire from the amp, replaced the fuse, and it didn't blow...I gues that means the amp is done...
Are there any visual signs that the amp is bad....if I opened it up and took a look inside?
I also have another question...I have a 4-channel amp (MTX Thunder 4244). Would it be possible to power my sub and a set of component speakers with just that amp?
if he's using a 30amp fuse for that long, why would his amp all of the sudden pull more? What is the amp rated for?
Not really sure, but I had the same problem with my P5002, took it to a repair person here, and he said everything was fine. Turned out it was the wire getting too hot, and kept popping fuses.so you replaced the fuse and now it doesnt blow anymore? if so, then i dont see a problem with your amp.
yes it is possible to power your components on 2 channels and the other 2 channels can power your sub.
if he's using a 30amp fuse for that long, why would his amp all of the sudden pull more?
Yes, the amp has 2 20 amp fuses in it. I have it bridged to power 1 10" sub. I'm not sure what you mean by the load I'm putting on it.I was asking more about the wattage ratings, but I found my answer. This amp has 2 20 amp fuses in it, correct? What load are you putting on the amp, and what channel configuration?
