fuse holder too big?

Guys,

I bought this fuse holder to install it near the car battery. Didn't realize how big it was from looking at the picture until I received it.

What concerns me the most is both sides protrude out like an inch and is covered by a thin "rubber" cap.

Is this dangerous? The location around the battery is tight. I have to use electrical tape to wrap it a few more layers.

Let me know if I should spend some money to get another one.

well it says weatherproof or whatever, but I'd still give er a few wraps w/ the electrical tape jus to be sure!

yeah that is kinda not good. you could very easily short out the wire if those ends touched anything.. look into a phoenix gold holder.
