I'm looking to upgrade my audio system and I'm getting a sundown ns1 amp. Currently I have a kicker kx 2500.1 amp with a 300 amp circuit breaker between under hood battery and rear battery. I know I'm going to run about 3 to 4 xs d310. The ns1 amp has a fuse rating of 650 how would I run a inline fuse from batteries to amp. I've heard of wireing fuses parallel but I dont know how. I've never ran this big of an amp and was wondering what my options were. Do I need to run fuse from under hood battery to batteries in back. Then run another from batteries in back to amp?

Yes, idealy you would want a fuse within 18" of any battery on the + wires. So you would end up with on under the hood by the front battery, and another fuse on the same wire by the back battery. and then yes, another fuse between the back batteries and the amp. Not sure how to fuse for 650 amps on the amp though.

Yea I'm stumped on that one cause the amp has a fuse rating of 650 and I dn think they make anl fuses that big or circuit breakers that big. If they do I can't seem to find any on the Internet

Couldn't I run 1 1/0 pos. and 1 1/0 negative to a buss bar in the back instead of running 2/3 wires all the way back. I understand where to put fuses but how do I parallel anl fuses. I've never had to do it befor so I'm not sure.

You'll need multiple power and ground runs for that bad boy. at least 2 of each. OFC is a must. and you do 300a fuse on each wire. A single wire is not capable of 650a of current draw, so that's why you have to use multiple runs. AWG OFC 1/0 wire is capable of 300a. If you get quality car audio wire, it's typically oversized, and could handle a bit more. You should be able to stretch it, and get away with only 2 runs of each.
