fuse for 3000db

hey, got my Power Acoustik 3000db the other day and was wondering what size fuse to put just before the amp since it has no "internal" fuses or whatever. only running 4ga for now but this is only gonna be installed ~30minutes. if i get help i'll make a vid of the comp vr's and the orion H2 wired at 4ohm.

Use a single 150 amp fuse and you'll be fine.

160 is what the manule(spell check) says to use. but im useing a 150

i think 4 guage is a little small for that amp, or did you run 1/0 to a distro block then 4 gauge. the reccomended fuse size for 4 guage is only 120 amps, and if the manual for the amp says use a 160 amp fuse you should be running at least 2 gauge.

If the amp does not have internal fusing.... you would want to factor in both the amp and wire when choosing fuse size, wouldnt you?

that was my concern and reason for not doing it yet.

fuse up by the battery for what ever size power wire you run, say 1/0, then go to the back and fuse a 150a into the amp

the A3000 dosent have internal fusing, a 150 will do fine

mine are 300 upfront and a distro to 150 for one and a 150 for the other
