Fuse Blows When Connecting Power Wire To Battery

If you amp is damaged it might blow the fuse....

But most likely you have a wire shorted out somewhere....

First of all, you shouldn't be connecting anything to the positive side of the battery with the battery negative connected already.

The obvious answer to your problem is that you have a serious short in your power wire somewhere.

If you dont have a grommet you are just asking for trouble, do yourself and your insurance company a favor and put one in there. I have also seen power fuses pop from hooking up the + and - backwards on an amplifier. Check that out as well.
