Fuse and distribution question

I am running 1/0 to the rear of the vehicle to an additional battery. What would be the best dist. block (1/0 in, 2 4awg. out) in your opinion?

Also, should I put a main line fuse before the additional battery or just come off thye battery with the dist. block and fuse protect from there?

You need to fuse no more than 12 inches from the front batt + AND no more than 12 inches from the rear batt +. From the dist block (0 in and 4 out) you need to fuse each 4 going to each amp.

Not always right. It depends on where the cables can make contact and short out closer the better

That's why I wrote no MORE than 12 inches. Closer is always better.
