funny talk with ups guy

i can agree with the drivers statement about UPS being rough on packages....
Long story short, i just bought a FI 10" BL from "kharps" on this site...the package, luckily, was insured....below is a pic of the outcome. This package had a weight of 37# but only weighed about 3# when i picked it up to take it inside.

The sub and ALL of the packaging fell out of the hole in the side of the box. Sub was wrapped in bubble wrap and box was packed tight with peanuts.....I'll never use UPS again!!!

whats really sad is the fact that they didnt even hesitate to drop off this EMPTY box. You would think one would be smart enough to see the rip in the box, and inspect for damage or whatever....
how did the sub make out?

I watched a video the other day with people catching ups on security cams.

They would pull up jump out of the van and just hurl the package then drive off.

I heard today from a forum member that he knows people that work or worked at the post office and that when they would see packages labeled "fragile" they would handle them with extra care. By extra care I mean throwing them on the floor.

I was saying when I worked there. It is about production. But in that you need to have a little fun. Imagine doing one thing all day every day. Shit does happen though. Stuff falls off of conveyor belts, under fork lifts, etc. But there were the times you'd see a box marked fragile and pile shit on top of it. But Karma is a bish though. i almost lost my job i just started because Fedex messed up this framed document signed by Bill Clinton.

What I hate a bout shipping companies is that when you are not home, they might go to your neighbor's house and leave the package there, even if it requires your signature. I've had this happen to me twice. Lucky for me, and ironically, my cousin lives next door to me. Imagine if you have issues with your neighbor and your package gets dropped off with them.

I wonder what minimum wage hood rat is enjoying that sub right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif.... His UPS bonus of the day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Hopefully you get the insurance money and they don't try to say it wasn't packaged properly.
i dont think they will give me problems with it....at least i hope they dont.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

my guess is that it isn't usable just looking at the damage to the package...and if it isnt damaged, its one tough azz woofer:crazy:

UPS doesnt pay minimum wage... nor does Fed Ex. Handling boxes at either, you can start out above 10/hr. They pay good, it just depends on management in my experience. If the managers arent pushing the ppl there to care about the boxes, then it won't happen.

There is alot of stress on the job there, but that box in this thread is beyond unexcusable.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
