full range bad for sub?

I was playing my shiva in my room with one of the speaker outputs on a denon amp. It gave it the whole frequency range, but the sub only played up to around 150hz or so. It wasn't loud at all, and I only played it for a little while, and afterwords I was wondering - Is this bad for the sub?

I would not know if it were bad or not. But I do know that it will sound like *** and power handeling will change.

i have a old kicker comp hooked up to the radio in my room and its been playin off it for like a year and a half and it still sounds the same lol
