alright, back to the main topic... I'm doing good and I'll be staying in South Carolina for a little while, just until I can return back home. I'm going to go look for a job tomorrow maybe i can get a job doing automotive work or something and make enuff money to get me a new car. I don't think I'll be getting any car audio anytime soon but who knows. Hopefully i can get back on my feet and safe a few dollars. Being 11.5 hours/800 miles from home sucks but I can't argue right now. If any one knows of any automotive shops that are hiring in florence, south carolina located near 150 Dunbarton RD. (Holiday Inn) let me know.

I didn't know I was going until I was stranded in a suburb of New Orleans a place called kenner, I called my uncle and he was on his way down to louisiana to get some personal items from his home. He was staying in south carolina and after I told him i had no where to go he offered to tag me along. I arrived here last night and this morning I filed at redcross. They gave me $360 to use at walmart for food and clothing, and a 15 day stay at the holiday inn hotel. Hopefully I can get a job soon and make enuff money to get myself a cheap little apartment out here for a few months just until I have enuff to get back to new orleans.

Wow that is an incredible story; I can't imagine going through something like that. 30,000 people dead? The news seems to be writing stories of the opposite that the death toll figures at 10,000 were severely overstated and that the expected loss of life would be much lower. I can't believe you saw a rooftop full of people just mowed down and a little kid killed for nothing. Did you see the women and kids getting ***** or did you just hear rumors? I can't believe that people didn't catch these things on tape, I mean there is always a camera around when the police lay a finger on a black man and nobody has caught this stuff on tape.

I mean part of me blames the federal, state, and local government for the slow response but nothing can justify actions of sodomy and ****. I was born into a very liberal house, where my parents taught me to not see an individual's color, I went to a school where I was a minority and most of my best friends were from different racial back grounds, and even my fiancée whom I been with for over 5 years is Indian but this stuff really makes me question my own opinion of people of African descent that come from urban areas. I have no use for people like that and IMO I'd rather lock them all up for life and pay a bit extra seeing that they live off welfare anyway.

i'm not gonna call you a racist, but when people grow up poor, there is gonna be more crime. a lot of people see drugs as a way to make money, and eventually get into them and all hell breaks loose. i grew up in some pretty bad areas. probably even worse then anything in new orleans, and when people don't have anything, they look to crime to solve things. i'm not justifying what they do, but i don't think they that they turn to crime because they are black, but because they are poor.
