Fuk Katrina & FEMA (by Decipha)

So, because a person is 11 years old and breaks a law, its okay? right? cause, 11 year old's cant get a hardon and **** someone.
What about a 14 year old? what about an 18 year old? where is the line drawn?

Or are the laws different in the Utopian world that You live in?
It's the American way. If you let one person off, for whatever perfectly valid reason, someone else will do the same. You give an inch, they take a mile. While I don't agree at all that an 11 year old child should be shot for being out past curfew, I can see someone out to kill, ****, and loot walk past arguing that the police let the child through, and should do the same for him.

I agree with you to a certain extent. They had many people that couldn't just up and leave. I was one of them, I didn't have the money at the time to leave if I did I'm pretty sure I would have. Not only that I helped out the community more than you could imagine. Yes i did loot and steal things but I didn't take anything we didn't need. I was actually going around passing out food and drinks to people who needed it. I was stealing ice from the redcross to bring to people with diabeties to keep their insulin or what ever that shiit is cold. I did more for other people than I did for myself. So don't tell me I was a drag and that I should have left. Most people that stayed in my area didn't want to stay but didn't really have a choice, not every one has the money to just start a new life some where else. Not only that gas was impossible to find. The only stations that did have gas was reserved for emergency vehicles. I'm not trying to put you down or insult you I'm just saying that maybe if you had more information on the situation you wouldn't think the same way.
I'm glad You kind of understand, I don't mean to offend You here. I AM glad for all that made it out with their lives.

IMO, For the record, food & water is not looting. Beer & fur coats is.

Now, I have been doing nothing but reading and chatting with EMS workers in Your area, well, former area & home. Two of my fiance's three uncles are officers in the Nat Guard and are down there. There are also four ems or firefighter friends of mine down there... Sir, I do have a bit of information.

I've been arguing these points for the last two weeks nearly non-stop. I'm not so arrogant as to think that I know nearly 50% of the street-level happenings, but I'm not some 16 year old kid from Bum**** Idaho that does nothing but believe the tripe shit that foxnews spits out.

Not offending me, and I do hope that I havent offended You.

My entire opinion of this tragedy is that the system failed, for many reasons & at many levels. Including (but not exclusive to) the personal civilian level. It's not all Bush's fault, nor is it all the fault of the residents. Many things SHOULD've happened at many levels, and didnt. In the end, it was still handled horribly, and planned for horribly.

That is all.

Flame away, and have fun with it, cause in the end.... this is still the internet, and those are still my opinions.

The law? Not exactly. It's not something set in stone, it's temporary, and could change at any time.

And I said if he was commiting an actual crime (i.e. ****) after curfew, then shots would be justified.

And where's your logic? Do you not know the difference between an 11 year-old's mind and an 18 year-olds?

So, all in all, did you see more good happening than evil? Was there more kinship and helping out than unnecessary looting, killing, and ****?

In a way it was almost even. Times like these you see the inside of people and how they really are, and I can tell you that they have good in every type of person. Some people were willing to do anything just to help. I was doing any and everything I could to help any one. I couldn't even tell you how many laws I broke or how many illegal things I done just to help other people out.

My logic? You are 16 years old, are You not capable of ****, murder, and destruction? Logic... human nature is not logical by any means Justinw303. I do hope that You learn that before it's too late.

There, is that a more tolerable statement for You?

Go back to watching MTV.

Then, You have a good heart, and I'm glad that You made it through just based on that.

Unforunatly, many things start out with the best of intentions, they just dont end that way. Alot of people were shooting to get attn, to make themselves more important to rescuers, and so on... obviously, in hindsight that doesnt make much sense. But after being stranded for days, what does make sense? They may have had good intentions, but gotten carried away. Hopefully (for their own peace of mind) many of the looters who went for TV's and that have a similar excuse.

****? No excuse. The rapists should be drowned in the toxic cesspool.

IMO

Nick,

I understand where your coming from and i respect your opinions. I agree with you this storm was not handled like it should have been. Maybe if we had better politics that knew how to do more than just sit on there *** and rebuild other countries we wouldn't be in this predicament. But that's not the case and we have no choice but to deal with the situation were given. I tried to make the best of what I could with what I had.

The kid had to have parents. Two different view points. No point in arguing over them.
whatdoyah mean no point?? I have another 1/2 hour to kill before I leave work??

Are you not even listening to what I'm saying? I didn't say "Sure, let the 11 year-old walk around. I mean, he's only 11, he can't do any harm."

I said, "Would it have been SO hard to get the kid's attention, remind him of the curfew IF he even knew in the first place (what with there being no communication and all, it might have been hard for some people to find out), and give him a chance to get back inside."

There was no reason to gun him down, no questions asked. What if he was looking for his parents? I guess that thought never crossed your mind...

Illegal, wrong, and law are different words with different meanings. Only one is important in this situation.
