Apparantly this is a 4500 DD sub. Very rare from what I understand. 500 watts RMS and works with all the current DD enclosures and enclosure designs. Pretty cool. I thought I had a 1510 so I am pretty happy about it. This is from Brad Firguard at DD.

I knew just from looking it was a 2500 or 3500. it was completely obvious. just look at the dd website. they have pics of all their old motors and 4500 is not even on there and the one he showed looked just like the 2500/3500. you couldnt tell from the pics because of the angle it was taken at. If you had a pic taken square on of the motor from the side it would be completely obvious.

yes they did

The 4500 is the predecessor to the current 3500 series. I don’t have the T/S for that woofer, but the RMS was 600 watts. the box recommendations were the same as the current models.

c i thought it was a 2500 but NO 1 knows about the 4500 and since i figured that DD some how said it was a 4500 then it must be a 4500 since it is a DD product

I would say it cuts both ways. If you do not have enough knowledge to identify it from the pics, then you should not have bought it.....
