Front Stage: Whats yours and why did you buy it?

And if you're competing and doesn't want anyone to know then there's really no need to say that the amp is a secret, but rather just not mention them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hertz HSK 165 a friend of mine is building one with that pair and the coaxial ones. I heard really good reviews on it tweeters is better than the Pioneer PRS , midbass is good and the speakers is highly develop and design than other ones. One of the most natural sound speaker you can get for the money.

The tweeters is very crisp soft and laid back which doesnt hurt my ears at all . So... get it, one of the best for 250$ range. Unless you like bright tweeters u can look to something else.

PM lyttleviet if he still have a spare set from his build ,he's great guy and knowledable on what he sells .

I'm looking for a front stage. Something under $250. Nothing complicated. I don't have the time or desire to perform a lot of tweeking in my system.
My system's is focused on SQ simply because I don't have the airspace I need for a ported enclosure.

The vehicle is an 08 Sport Trac. The sub stage and amps will be behind the rear seats. I can't fit my 1202D units behind the seat so I'm thinking of going with a pair of Kicker CVX10 units.

May have already been said but Seas Neo tweets and Mach 5 mids. I'm not running either at the moment. My seas blew and I have the AA poly mids. I would suggest the AA's if you can find them.

Current setup is the AA poly mids and pioneer i forget what model tweets. I am running them off of an Alpine pdx 4.150.

So I've done some research and people are saying to go with a 6.5 round if they fit but no one has really explained why. So what makes a round speaker better than a 6X9? I don't really know how I would cost effectively do this.

memphis syncs are a coax and convertable to a component.

I run them in my truck but i also have a set of horns and 10" subs i plan on using in an older bmw if i can get one that is worth buying LOL so far the ones with good bodies need engine work and the ones with good engines need at least a paint job

cd2 neo horns

idq8 for midrange

peerless SLS 10"s for midbass

got the cd2 neos in a trade

I've always wanted idq8s and they'll play high enough to match my horns

Peerless SLS 10s were cheap and is a GREAT bang for the buck.

here is my setup

i got it because all of the items have been reviewed by a ton of people and everybody has had positive things to say about them. the drivers and HU are all kinda budget stuff i guess, but the amps were pricey.

My setup is out of that $250 budget, but my wife’s isn’t.

I haven’t installed anything yet because I haven’t finished my setup, but what’s going in hers are Alpine spx-17pro mids & tweeters. Will be ran actively off a kenwood amp.

I chose those for her setup for a couple reasons:

1. Type-x Pro line said to be based off the F1 line. Cheap enough where if the performance is CLOSE to that of the Scan derivatives, it'll be worth it.

2. I paid only $170 shipped for the setup

3. Good value for the cost

Her car will have a very simple 2-way setup; no subwoofer. Kenwood amp will cover x-over, t/a, and light P-EQ.

Blaupunkt VC100 30 bucks

Peerless Exclusive 7in mids used 70 bucks

I bought both because they had great reviews and live up to it. The tweets are just outstanding for the price. My set-up total cost the same as a set of PG RSDs which yes I did own at one time and these blow that set-up out of the water by a long shot. Iam running active from a Alpine CDA-1897(180 Used) and a Refurb US Amps AX-5600(190 shipped BNIB).

First, I think you need to tell us if you are going active or staying passive.

If passive, search for some drivers in your range, but many will say to go with the 720prs set.

If active, you will need the processing (not sure if you have that), but you can put together a nice little 2-way (front) active set-up with $250 for drivers.

I have my front stage (see sig) because it was cheap!

Tweets -$40 (value guess)

Mids - $80

Sub - $60

Total = $180 for all drivers

check my sig-

the hsk's are beautiful.

but if you what your doing, you can go active and just pick individual speakers out and go active. then switching out speakers if they dont suit your taste is easy and fun. there are some great examples posted already. making your own active comp set ftw!
