Front stage for a 149.9 bassracer?!?!?

If you want loud highs, youre going to need some serious power. Run 2 Kappa 12s on a big bridged 2 channel. If you have the balls, go for 4 12s and 2 amps. I dare you. You wont even be able to hear any bass over that.

Then dont forget tweeters. Run a tweeter per 12. Id honestly say go for 4 12s with an amp per pair, and 4 tweeters, with a bridged 4 channel on them.

I know for my next build, I want to run a ton of Kappa 12s and ST350 tweeters, along with Seleniums D250 horns. Id like to see around 10-12k rms on highs. I cant wait, my ears will be bleeding. Good times. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well maybe ill just keep my current setup if you guys are recommending a single set of comps. Mpyres are pretty **** nice and the screamer tweets will get **** loud too from what ive heard.

I love the pyle pro's. Gotta go with the ones with the sealed back baskets. Or check into a set or 2 sets of Lanzar Opti 6C. Look at the component speaker sets with the black cones. They are very loud and very clean. not to bad either. Considering that for a set or 4 total speaker/tweeter combos for like 240 thats not bad. But I had one set of these in my truck before I blew them. They were old and it was time to get something new lol. But they ran along side my RE XXX sitting right behind me in place of the back seat.

i have no experience with the mpyres.. they look very nice though, could jsut give them a shot if you think you'd like them already, only way to know is to try :p

I can't decide what I want to do ... ugh

Yea as you can see neither can i. I guess ill hold onto the empires and maybe get another 125.2 so im running close to rms to both.

ugh what newbie's.

run a 3 way active. loud while retaining sq

mypre mids as the midbass (best your can get)50hz-500hz

b&c or beyma as the mid range. (no whipaudio knockoff crap) 500hz to 3.5khz

use the eq screamer as the tweeter. 3.5khz to 20khz

selenium 6's and pyle pro sucks. sound awful.(unless you use them in their proper application 500hz-6khz)

if you want a 6" get the eminence alpha 6c (they play not as loud but sound amazing (100hz to 5khz)

if you want all out loud get the 10" deltalines and a bullet tweeter.

Anyone know if the mpyres will keep up. Maybe ill just buy another set and run 2 sets.
do that. I run 2 AA CF mids per door and 8 Hi-Vi $4 tweeters in each A-pillar. Keeps up just fine and sounds VERY good when actually listening to music.

Just don't get the whole pro audio squawk box thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif But if all you listen to is crap rap then it really doesn't matter I guess...

If he'd want to keep his 4 15s and do this, he'd need to run 4 way active. Sub, midbass, mid, & tweets.

For a car that has loud enoug bass, pro audio equipment is neccessary. All of the guys that come to shows with vehicles that can bassrace a 155+ have pro audio equipment for highs. I cant think of a single one that doesnt.

Im pretty much set on 4 selenium 6's, i just dont know whether to go with 2 tweets or 4. 4 would lower my impedience to 4 ohms instead of 8.
Or i could run 8 of the pyle pro mids and 4 of the tweets.
Just gonna put this out there, I'd highly recommend the Selenium 8" mids over the 6" mids. If you can fit them as they are a bit bigger. Friend of mine has the 6" mids, I have the 8" mids, huge difference... We're each running 4. If you can fit 4 of the 8" mids, do that and never look back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
