I was wondering if many people run a 2 channel amp for front stage.

i was looking at a few speakers in the $60/pair range, but theyre all 4 ohm. (open to suggestions aswell)

i happen to have a 2 channel amp thats 75w rms @2 ohm x 2

So, i was thinking of wiring LF and LR in parallel, and same for the right side.

ill have a balance, but no fader. which is fine to me.

what do you guys think?

Front stage does not include rear speakers.

A 2 channel amp is fine if you are using crossovers. If active then you need a 4 channel at minimum.

Do not wire your speakers together as this will cause ohm load issues unless you know what your dropping down too.

i have a crossover i was planning on using aswell.

What do you mean dont wire speakers together? i assume two 4 ohm speakers will result 2 ohm in parallel? am i missing something?

and for opinions for speakers in the $60 price range, whats the consensus on the Pioneer TS-G1645R?

Edit: i just realized those are cruthfield prices...

Opinions please.

Yes, but as i do not know everyone hear i do not know who understands ohm loads.

Get 2 ohm speakers... done... JBL GTO638 6.5" / 6.75" Grand Touring GTO Coaxial Car Speakers

A lot of JBL line of speakers is 2 ohm. If you want something nicer, look at the pb 660c

Very true. i didnt see that line of the many..

that said, i d need a new 4 channel amp the run all door speakers at 2 ohm.. is the rear door speakers not desired?

otherwise would my original plan to run 4(all 4 doors) - 4ohm speakers in parallel (L&R) still sound ok?

That said, i just thought about the front dash tweeters. theyre prolly connected in parallel with the front door speakers? ill prolly wanna replace them too. looks like i have homework to do

i ve added subs for years, never really overhauled a complete system..

Rears arent too important, you can keep it on head unit power. Unless your car is like mines where its a complete road trip car and passengers need the rear fill loud to overcome the sub.
