front speakers wont play. wtf.

i have two sets ofre 6.5" cozxials. one in the rear, and one in the front which is amped. the rear plays just fine, but my front will not play. its always worked, until today. i get in the car.. and my front stage dies not work. suggestions? ea2000 2ch amp, all speakers are RE

Have you checked your connections? Check both ends to see if it's some how disconnected at the amp and or at the speaker terminal. Also make sure that there is no wires touching.eachother on both ends.

amp powers on. the rear speakers are ran off of the HU. and yes the amp turns on they just diont play. sometimes they start to, then make a crackling noise and work perfecy again.... for 5 secondsor so. after that, they stop asgain (im a bit drunk if you cant tekk(

Are you able to connect the stock speaker connections and run them off the HU to see if it's a speaker issue?

no. ill try tomorrow. but if the rear stock connection works, shouldnt the front? never had a prob before

it is the amp, either not outputting anything for not getting signal.

Get a dmm, you said the amp is turning on so power is not a problem. If the amp is not in protect, then use the dmm to see if your amp is outputting anything, turn the system on, undo the speaker wire and put your meter on AC volts, slowly turn off the volume and you should see the AC volts increase with the volume knob.

Now if thats not working make sure you have signal coming in, check your rcas as well by once again selecting AC volts and measuring between the shield and the rca probe, you should see voltage increase with the volume as well.

Finally check the impedence of the speakers
