front speakers not playing need help

i have had my system complete for a while with everything working flawlessly. now it seems out of no where my front speakers and tweeters have stopped playing anything. i have checked wiring fuses the deck amps and tried to track down any accidental grounding or loose cables with no luck i am completely stuck and with a custom install i have very little help on the professional side if you have any suggestions it would really help out a lot

Got a DMM, If So. Get it take your door panels off to get to the Speakers. Pull them out some what and put the leads of the DMM on the speaker terminals. Turn the DMM on set it to AC voltage and turn your radio on. See If you are getting voltage to the speakers. Turn the volume up and down see what the voltage reads... If nothing is there. Move on to the next source of power to the speakers IE amp or head unit itself. See what your voltage is there. You can do the same with the RCA,s cables if you have amp.

i checked it as far back as the cross overs my meter is acting up but what i did was use a AA battery and tapped it on the line as far back as the cross overs and i am getting a tick from the speakers so i know that they are getting some voltage i am thinking it could be the amp or the deck i am not sure what could be causing the issues with them

Get a cheap meter for right now. Walmart pepboys some place. Check it with that. So you can check the AC voltage through the RCA cables as well.
