Front Speakers NO mid-BASS, ??help

hey guys, ive just realized that a have absolutely NO mid-bass with my front speakers:furious: IT SUCKS ***, the tweeter overwhelm the woofer, the woofer is soo weird and annoying, it makes HUGE rattling, NO mid-bass, stock speakers are better! im sure Im doing something wrong.... maybe there is air leaking? could that be the problem?

What car do you have the mid installed? Pics of installation?

If it "rattles" it could either be blown or maybe it's just the door panel resonating.

Might as well check your filters on your amp and head unit, to make sure you're not high passing the mids.

flip the wiring on one of them. See if its a phasing issue

check your x-over and make sure it's not set on +3 also. but would agree that sounddeadening is prolly the answer

sound deadener is needed. I suffered the same problem because my doors were resonating. Build your baffle out of MDF so it's sturdy. Use non-hardening clay around the baffle to get rid of air leaks.

What kind of speakers? The tinsel leads may be slapping the back of the cone causing the rattling sound.

then it would help for rattling problems and annoying sound right?

If you want to reduce rattle, get yourself some Raammat Ensolite foam and place it on your doors (inner and outer skin). It's made to absorb rattle so plastic parts wont hit each other. It's only about $11-12 per 14sq feet. Buy 28 sq ft and you'll have enough for the inner and outer skin for both doors.
