front speakers cutting out?

well I have posted about this before that my front and rear speakers cutting out at very high volumes, but mainly only on one song(50 cent-just a lil bit). This was back on my old PPI PCX 480 amp. I recently upgraded to a JL HD600/4. Thing amp is awesome and have not had one problem yet, until today. Of course I put my ripped cd with "just a lil bit" on it to test out the system and at very high volumes my front speakers were the only ones cutting out. The rears stayed on fine and the subs did as well. But my front infinity perfect components would keep cutting out for a second and then coming right back. So weird. I always thought it was my old PPI amp, but with that changed now I do not know if its my speakers, head unit, voltage issue? I also upgraded to Kinetik 1800 and BIG 3 so I would hope my electrical is not the problem. I have only noticed it on this song, but its not the cd because if I lower it the problem does not occur. any thoughts on whats going on??????????

Are your front speakers high pass filtered? IF so, at what frequency?

Thinking you may need to raise the HP freq so your Infinity's will survive.

hehe, I know right. well the HPF is at about 85hz. You think that might be why they cut out? why so? overload on component??

The way I see it you got 3 options:

any other suggestions?? and my gains are set perfect, and the song is not distorting. The front speakers just cut in and out. weird!!! please help??

check to see if you have a wire grounding out, and how do you know your gains are set perfectly, did you use an o scope
they were set to exact Jl voltage specs using test cd and votage meter. So I am assuming they are good. But if the amp was clipping really bad I think my music would sound super distorted. and if my amp was clipping super bad why would just the front channel cut out and not the rear?

I remember someone having moisture inside the door and the back of their speaker getting wet to cause their speakers to cut out only when the volume was raised past a certain point.

Doubt that's it, but the possibility of a wire grounding out makes me wonder a lil bit.

NO!!! now today it did it on another song from a cd, not mp3. The weird thing this time is only the front right component kept cutting in and out. All other 3 stayed on. It usually happend over 50 on my volume of a max 63. The gains were set at 45.

another thing, so I was just playing some rap in my car at over 50 volume and on big bass songs I noticed the subs decreasing in output and then increasing back to normal a few seconds later?? I was just sitting parked with the car on. I got moving and accelerating after that and did not notice it anymore?? So now I am starting to think maybe its voltage related??? is that possible. I have JL HD amps with the regulated power supply that maintains the same power at any voltage level and I am thinking when my voltage drops the amps are even pulling more current and my electrical just cant keep up. Does this sound logical?? please help, its driving me nuts. I was so enjoying my new system and now the problems begin. I have a Kinetik 1800 and BIG 3 done with about 2100 watts.

did you ever check for a grounding out wire?

set your meter to continuity and disconnect the speaker wires from the amp, using the amp ground as a reference meter each speaker wire to see if you have continuity between one of your wires and ground
