I just had my new vibe slick 4 800 watt 4ch amp installed about 4 or 5 days ago with two new feont soeakers from vibe ans also a 1w inch sub from them. My installer is a professional been doing this for years I trust his install but he isn't give g me much info on the problem. First thing is first the amp runs hot sometimes when playing relatively loud like too hot to touch. No protect mode at all and I drive all day for work. He said vibe emailed him said heats not an issue unless it goes in or

protect mode but this morning the startup for about a minute the front right speaker had static and even with the volume all down. Started driving and 30 seconds later went away. You guys have any ideas ? Thanks !

Some amps run hot no matter what due to design factors.

But id still have a second opinion on how it is tune as it maybe clipping even the slightest amount.

That static only happening on one speaker can be from a channel slowly going bad, a ground loop, or speaker wires touching metal which is not good.

Obviously theres more things that could be the cause but its a start to look into it.
