front loading??

how do i get skp files to jpg so i can up a pic?
Hit the Print Screen button (next to F12) and then open MSpaint. Go to edit --> Paste and then save as a .jpg file. Then upload to a place like http://www.tinypic.com and then post it here.

The distance should be based around the total surface area of the air between the loading panel and the enclosure. This should be more than the Sd of the driver. For instance, lets take a 15" by 15" loading panel over a 12" sub with an Sd of 75in^2. The total surface area of the air mass would be 4*15"*h where h is the height off of enclosure. 4*15 = 45in. Now if we put the loading panel 3" off of the enclosure, the total surface area will be 3"*45" = 135in^2 which is more than the surface area of the driver so you should be safe. I would shoot between 1.25-2x the surface area of the drivers' Sd.

this is what i had, going off the idea it needed to be atleast as wide as the port

It doesn't have to be wider than the port. You can cut it down smaller without any ill effects. You will notice bad effects when you don't allow for enough exit surface area. In your case, make sure the exit area is about 1.25-1.5 times the Sd plus port area.
