from 2 12s to 2 15s on 6k

im planning on upgrading my 2 12 inch tantric hdd woofers and getting 15 inch baskets and cones.

im assuming my spl will go up because of more cone area. but does anyone have experience with doing this. i wana know what to expect. i will have roughly a 9 cubic foot box with an external aero port on it. trunk build. i really hope to increase my spl quite a bit and i can do this upgrade for reasonably cheap

ive already got 2 12s in my trunk with room to spare. i have a build log of it and i cut some metal out of my back seat area and mounted my woofers flush to where the back seats used to be and built my box back from that. and its all in a 98 lexus es 300. have 4xs batteries 3 runs power and ground of 0gauge sky high ofc on a saz5k at .5 ohm on 2 hdd 12s

Lexus Es 300 he'll have to redo the box. But if he can get the box area it will work

yea i can. ima take ur advice i think. and i can fit a 11 cubic foot box in my trunk so i def have the room i need

Yes 4 gzpa 4000 amps. A 275 and 320 amp singer alts and shd subs or hdd 15s if I keep it at 15s it will be 4 of them. Or go back to 6. 12s in the clamshell

Did u blow the 12s ? Or are u planning on tearing up working subs?

no just realize i want 15s. i dont know if i can blow those subs on a saz 5k lol. subs are f'n BRUTAL. just bass deaf as all hell. i mean im setting off car alarms from 2 blocks away with volume half way up.

i just think 15s might be louder am i right?

Yea they will be but id never tear up a working set of hdd 12s just to get 15s..sell them and buy 15s

im guna buy just the baskets and cones for the 15s and than buy 2 more motors down the road so i have 15s and 12s
