Friend need opinions fast and I dont know

Ok I am puttin a system together for a friend he wants to do a single 15 on an orion2500.Well I found a Re Mt 15 locally for 400 buck great deal right...oh yea freshly reconed,but he also has a DD9515 freshly reconed and I do not know which one he should get!I have 2 HD3s but I have yet to use them... I have heard MTs and thier loud,I just would like to know which one u would take and why? I just want to get my friend the best I can get for his money. Thanks for any help.

I have owned a 18" MT and a dd9515, and both off of the same amp, granted the MT was an 18, but I loved it...for $400 off a fresh recone, I would go for it.

ive owned a 12" mt and was very happy with it....I would say go with the mt....
