He needs a head unit, components, component amp, subs, sub amp, and wiring.
He said he wants loud while still sounding good and prefers two twelves.

I am not up to date with head units.

For components, I was thinking something along the $350 price range, whatever may fall into that. And a maybe a 500 watt 2 channel amp.

As for subs, I was thinking 2 FI Q 12"s and a some type of 1500D amp. He says he can build the box himself.

Headunit- $400

Components-$350

Component Amp-$200

Subwoofers- $500

Sub Amp- $400

Wiring- $50 (he has a lot of 0 gauge already)

This comes out to less than $2,000.

Really all I have picked out is the subs. I haven't researched components or headunits lately so need suggestions for them, and possibly a component amp. May just go with Sundown amps.

Holee Shit............ A DH thread related to car audio. That's about the budget I have for my next build so I'll throw a few ideas out there for you.

HU....... Premier DEH-P800PRS (can't go wrong with that HU) $3-350

Too many components to name but you could go with the Premier c720PRS comps. Others will have different opinions of course, but I've heard and liked those. You save 100 off the budget there.

I would do a Sundown 100.4 for the comps. That or an Alpine PDX 4.150.

Substage may depend on how loud he plans to be. It may require electrical upgrades that may or may not be factored into that 2k.
