Friend has a $2500 budget for a complete system. help me build it.

He needs a head unit, components, component amp, subs, sub amp, and wiring.

He said he wants loud while still sounding good and prefers two twelves.

I am not up to date with head units.

For components, I was thinking something along the $350 price range, whatever may fall into that. And a maybe a 500 watt 2 channel amp.

As for subs, I was thinking 2 FI Q 12"s and a some type of 1500D amp. He says he can build the box himself.

Headunit- $400

Components-$350

Component Amp-$200

Subwoofers- $500

Sub Amp- $400

Wiring- $50 (he has a lot of 0 gauge already)

This comes out to less than $2,000.

Really all I have picked out is the subs. I haven't researched components or headunits lately so need suggestions for them, and possibly a component amp. May just go with Sundown amps.

Sundown 100.4 = $250 used

Mach 5 mids (pair) = $72

SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (pair) = $64

Sundown 1500d = $350 used

12'' d4 IA Lethal Injection (pair) = $400

TOTAL = $2086

This would be a great sounding set-up and still get respectably loud. Plus he'll have a nice active front stage which would be cool.

Eclipse cd7200mkii (head unit) $379 Hertz hsk 165 (front stage) $229 hertz hsk 690 6x9's ( rear stage ) $229, 1 arc audio ks 1000 (sub amp ) $399, 1 arc audio ks 300.4 ( components amp ) $299, 2 12" jl audio w6v2d4 ( subwoofer ) $330 each. This is similar to what I'll be getting. The total comes to $2195 plus wiring and accesories. This would be a kick *** sq/spl setup. I highly recommend this setup.

And he is set on 2 12"s. He has watched videos and read up on the Q's and has decided he wants them.

Need more headunits/front stage prospects.

I like my idea better, he could also do the diamond audio hex series components instead of the hertz hsk for $199 at onlinecarstereo.com, I used to have a set and they sounded great. He could also do the pioneer deh 980bt head unit instead of the eclipse cd 7200mkii I mentioned for $387 at onlinecarstereo.com also he could do the jl w6 13's for $350 each available at techronics.com. Both of those websites offer great deals and warranties or u could look to datboiroy for advice, he'll help u put together a kick *** system. With warranty!
