Found a car, may buy it?

The car isn't for me, it would be my girlfriend's daily driver. I just got off the phone, and the guy said nothing was wrong with it other than the knock. If I wanted to I could come test drive it, and even take it to a mechanic of my choice. The car has a rebuilt transmission, with a 3 year warranty on it. Found a motor for $450, but I would have to pull it from a car that had the rear end smashed. $1000 for a 99 Dodge Intrepid sounds like a great deal. The interior was in perfect condition, at least what I could see. I wouldn't have to take it to a mechanic to do any of the work, as I could drop the motor in myself. I think tomorrow I will go check it out some more.

you could always buy a few cases of beer and let a couple of buddies help you with the engine swap to make it easier...

I don't need to spend the money, they owe me for installing their stereos, and letting them crash at my house for weeks.
