fosgate blowin subs left and right

Dude, you sound like a complete moron.

You need to properly set your gains with a DMM. If you don't you're just remaining a moron. Not setting your gains will clip the speakers to death. That frequency control is just that, You need to set it around 80hz and not mess with it.

ok well if i showed u how wack this rockford amp was u would know

i have it all set up, if i have the gain all the way up and frequencys set, if this remote isnt plugged in, the amp doesnt push the subs like at all!

Dude RF is among the best in amps. The gain should not be all the way up, so keep the plug plugged in! Jeez.

It's not all set up, if the gain is all the way up!

along time ago i checked it and compared it to the voltages a 1000w amp is suposed to get and gets more then it should, whats the site to refer to again i will look at it and then measure the voltage again, i think it was a JL site?

I doubt you own a DMM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

But I will give you the benifit of the doubt. All you do is set the DMM to AC voltage and play a 40hz test tone. Make sure you dissconect the speakers. Then place the DMM leads on the speaker terminal on the amp. Read what the DMM says and post it.

Look in the amplifier section, there is a sticky.

81volts at 41hz, bass boost 0 on the HU bass at 0 on the hu, gain full on amp, frequency at ~80. volume @ 20 on alpine hu
How many times do we have to tell you. I'm getting sick of it;)

You are trying to push way to much power, clipping the heck out of that amp. YOU NEED TO SET YOUR GAINS PROPERLY!!!!

That is the problem right there. The gain should not be all the way up!

What ohm load are you running with your speakers? I will tell you what to set it at...

2 ohm, minimum the amp can handle...
Ok, Turn the gain all the way down. Go threw the same steps you just did but this time raise the gain until you read 44.72 volts. This will produce 1000 watts @ 2ohms. And as long as your speakers can handle 500 watts RMS each they should be fine. Never boost it or you risk blowing more equipment.

I knew that was your problem:D

lol so does this mean my amp produced way more then 1000watts?
