lol i love it, im the 2nd owner of this amp i think, and i kno why the first one got rid of it, after he sold it, it blew out a audiobahn 1206t 15", (2) audiobahn suttin 700w rms ones, and a rockford punch hx2

neways sence ive had it ive blown alpine type r 12" and kicker L5,

yes i read that thread bout calculateing how much u should give your subs with voltage and that bs, i dun liek that, when i blew my kicker i was very suprised i had 2 of them hooked up to complete a 4ohm load into my amp, i have a RF 1001bd so it was runnin 500watts, 250x2, and it blows one of my kickers, a sub thas rated 600rms gets blown out by 250watts i love it, stunk the shit outta my car, fried 2 all hell.

i think its time 2 sell the all powerful fosgate amp, it has owned me and the past owner...

like I believe polecat said " any moron can blow a sub, it takes skill too make it last" you did something wrong my friend, I could blow your sub with a 500 watt rms kenwood amp

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't like taking the time to set something up properly after I invested a good amount of money in it. Silly me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

You sir are an idiot. Blowing subs is nothing what so ever to be proud of..... I could blow that Alpine or Kicker with a 500 watt amp. If you would quit being a noob and relize that you shouldn't use bass boost and the gains are not a volume knob you wouldn't blow the subs AND they would sound just as loud and MUCH better.

....Why not use bass boost? I have my bass boost to +10 (max) on HU, Subwoofer boost to +15 (max) on HU, and the db boost to 12 (max) on amp. Putting volume to 26/35 on my HU with a Pioneer 800.1 ...so you could say im definetly boosting my bass and gains.....my subs havent blown. Should i stop doin this? before somethin bad happens....or other reason? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Well the sub out level on your HU can be turned up or down and usually the bass, unless its in an EQ and not the whole bass spectrum. The problem with bass boost on an amp is it only boosts on frequency so your response gets peaky and your amplifier will produce MUCH more power around that frequency so if your gains are set correctly at 60 hz and you have a 35hz bass boost then when you get lower bass notes the amp will clip and distort. Using a little bit of bass boost is okay if you want but just take into account that you can't turn the gains up as much without clipping.

hey i think i might know what is happening, wellll i have a remote, but its not for bass boost, its for frequency or something, but when i have it all the way low there is liek no bass when i crank it up theres way more, i never really messed with it so i said, oh hell all the way must be more bass, right? welll now i dont think so, im thinking im clipping the subs because i have that up 2 high, how can i set that? it has no numbers on it for hertz er anything...
