if you want 'made in america', you will pay a premium, simply based on higher costs involved. and as someone already mentioned, many parts are sourced in said foreign country, and then the final product is assembled in america. all this being said, made in a foreign country isn't necessarily bad. qc is slowly improving in these countries, and many manufacturers will do their homework to make sure the overseas builders have set up standards acceptable to them, because their reputation is on the line.
