Is this ok?

So i like to turn my bass down in the eq settings on my HU because then my stock door speaker dont get any bass and only my sub does. The stock door speakers distort bad when i have bass turned up or on normal. So is it ok to turn base boost like half way up on my amp to compensate for the HU bass being set to low? i hope this makes sense haha.

Oh my HU has no high pass filter.

I have know clue how to install those thought this would be a cheap and easy way out. haha

its easy. they go on the speaker wires onto the speakers. im sure most come with instructions

I wouldn't recommend using the bass boost on any amp.

better to get some real door speakers, and power it with an amp that has a built-in crossover. those inline bass blockers are typically first order filters that don't do too well of a job of reducing bass output.

As long as u don't crank it wide open yu prob cud run a little boost 4 now, but id def recommend getting a new hu and door speakers in tha near future

Get bass blockers like suggested. Cheap, and a good fix to the problem.
