Ford Ranger Extended Cab

I am wondering if anybody around here has personally done any enclosures for any Ford Ranger XLT (extended cab). I will be most likely using (2) JL Audio 8w3's so it is not like I will need a huge enclosre. Basically looking for tips or ideas to avoid the annoying hump Ford has between the seats and the ledge against the back wall.

hmmm...mine is a 97. Are your seats on the sides or against the back?

i have a 2002 xlt and yeah they are a pain to build boxes look at my build and you can kind of see what i did.

Jumps seats are on the sides and for what it is worth I could care less if they are ever used again or not.

ok then its the same as mine i'm assuming, jsut build a box with a 5 inch lift and make it like 9 inches tall, go all the way to the back.

as bad as the screwed up slope in the new mustang trunks....lol

Just take the jump seats out. If you're only using a pair of 8's you should be able to get them both on one side. That keeps you from having to care about the hum. My Nissan isn't much different other than the presence of rear doors that makes working back there easier.

I am still undecided whether I want tobuild something up for these 8's or just go back to the single 10 setup I was running.
