I ask because I want a tattoo, and I'm sort of know what I want, but not exactly sure and I'm wondering if the tattoo artist will work with me to get what I want.

I agree with the above about letting the tattoo artist be an artist and you just give him an idea of what you want. Most of mine are custom.

How did you go about getting the design? (not talking about lame tribal tattoos) Did you just find one on the internet and print it out and take it to the place? Is there a selection? Or did you get one "custom"?
