you don't even know half of the full story behind this, so the fact that you think you can comment on the situation is appauling.
here i'll make a timeline of events for you, since you seem to have so much interest in my personal life. Hopefully i'm your new role model.
May 2003- Baby is conceived, senior year of High school
May 2003- Hours after baby is conceived, we break up
June 2003- I graduate and leave for Detroit, loosing all contact with said woman
March 2006- Back up north and run into ex with a 2 year old child. woman claims it's mine
April 2006- Paternity test prove its mine. I meet with woman and all parties involved
May 2006- Woman flees to North Carolina. apparently she is gonna go to UNC. you'll find out later this was false.
December 2006- She is back in Michigan. as stated in may, UNC was false. she wanted to get away from me. I also meet her husband, who had been with the kid since birth.
March 2007- My parental rights are officially gone and new husband has custody. Now the mother doesn't want me to be part of the kid's life, the kid has a good father, so isn't in the kid's best interest to be raised by 2 parents instead of 2.5?
