I also interviewed/got offered a job at best buy. Basically the interview process is the same as best buy... they will ask you some basics. How does a relay work, how do you wire up doorlocks, ohms laws, etc... they do not require you to hire in as mecp certified but they will make you take the test once you hire in(they pay for it, and give you a bump in pay once you get certified).

my most used tools would be

cutter/crimpers

strippers.

drill w/ chuck

pick tool. 90 degree angle

7mm, 8mm, 10mm, sockets

my dmm

speak right.

and that's all i can think of now...

You're going to want a small/lightweight one.

I think they might be 12v, but I recommend the Dewalt of the Hitatchi (new green style).

One of those, I've personally used the Makita and the Dewalt. Both are great.

I really want to try the Hitachi, it's in between in price and has great specs...
