FOR ALL YOU Vista LOVERS

all the third party crap that dell, gateway, hp, etc. install kills your performance. the best way to run a windows OS is to buy a copy from the store and install yourself, no extra crap. only the stuff you need.

I have both XP and 32 bit Vista on separate hard drives in the same computer, and I still use XP. I think it's because I'm too lazy to migrate to Vista. Although, I really hate the security warnings.

Vista is pretty freaking awesome once you get it working properly
I knew I would see this this post in time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.... Keep in mind guys this user(^) was skeptical of Vista at first also........ Glad you like it.

for all you people talking about it being a resource hog, you realize you can turn off VISTA side bar, the GUI and all of that yes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
it's really not that bad once you do all that. It's a pretty stable platform honestly and I've gotten used to it. Yes it's not as fast as XP but it's not as be as ME that's for damn sure.
If your really worried about resources turn off pre-fetcher (I think its called,) it then will reflect XP with the RAM sitting there doing nothing........but hey you'll have your resources back.

how is that a true survey 61 people, hell for all we know that could a few vista people here on this forum voting or being surveyed over and over let see 200,000> 61:rolleyes: says they like XP better then vista and I have played with vista you really have to tweak it to get it right and then you have dig really deep to find hardware to work with it iof you are lucky.
You're a fvcking moron ... Go die ...
Can you even read ? Do you know what the "%" symbol means ?

LOL at having to dig deep to find hardware that works with it ...

Fvck, I swear you are the most retarded person on this forum ...

Ahh really? I havent messed with Vista since it first came out so I havent tried any programming on it with the updated version. When it first came out, I had it on my computer and just got tired of messing with it so I swapped back to XP. I may have to give Vista a shot again.
Vista sucked boatloads of *** for the first 6 months ... It's been fine since fall of last year ... Although I must say I never tried any programming using it ...

Jmac, it is extremely difficult to find hardware that is compatible with Vista.
I tried installing it on my Apple IIe, no go.
I know your pain, I tried installing Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my Commodore 64 and it bricked it ! WTF ? 64-bit Vista won't even work on 64-bit hardware ? So fvcking g3hy ...

15 seconds and a reboot is all that is required to disable the UAC pop-ups ...

Very true. Mine was gone the first time I started up my computer in about 20 seconds.

I've had Vista since June last year and I've yet to have this computer freeze/mess up/do anything bad since the first day I got it. I'd never go back to XP. My computer froze all the time doing almost nothing.
