FOR ALL YOU Vista LOVERS

lets see what people say when they start tossing in 386 gigs of ram..
Not too mention Vista handles multi-threads much better. Add a quad core in the mix with loads of ram and watch XP get walked by.
The only thing I am disappointed in is not getting WinFS in Vista.

I've been using Linux and recently installed Ubuntu. I love it, I'm so glad I made the switch. And it's a lot more fun than windows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i installed vista on my thinkpad, disliked it and now went back to XP....except everyone around me has a mac here at school...so im thinking about making the switch this summer after i get some money from work.

XP was never this much of a resource pig. As far as an every day user, I don't see any advantage to Vista. In which case I will take a machine built for running Vista, load XP, and you have a millions time faster machine that suites all my needs for now.

Not to mention how much they changed Vista. There are a million programs out there that Vista is not compatible with. The software for our system is pretty much as simple as it gets, and we can't run it on Vista. We have to use Vista's "XP Mode", which I will admit I don't know what it is.

I was flying with this girl sitting next to me. She was a Rep for Microsoft. This was just before Vista was released. She was on her way to a big meeting to show how great Vista was. When asked how she liked Vista herself she gave me a sheeping smile and said "it's alright. It uses a lot of resources. I prefer XP".

I hope there are features to Vista that I don't know about, that someone can find handy. So far Vista seems like another ME incident.

so was windows xp, try and run xp on a computer that meets the bare requirements and tell me its not a resource hog...****ing people need to realize you need a better computer to run vista.

4gb ddr2 ram, Intel Core2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT, 256MB video memory, 2x 120gb hard drives. that isn't enough for vista...?

A person's own experience is not ignoring the plain facts retard. My home PC runs Vista and functions just fine. I honestly don't see what everyone is complaining about
Retards find "facts" that support their opinion of something they haven't or have barely used.

Well if you need a better computer to run vista companies should stop selling vista with 1gb of ram, it's stupid. That's why everyone is complaining. 1gb ram on vista = teh lose

Here's actual facts ... User poll on CNET ...

CNET-GoodForSomethingAfterall.jpg

Hmmm, 12% who were polled owned Vista and had problems with it. 49% own Vista and have little to no problems with it.

So, if you take people who actually own it, 49/61 = 80.3% of people who OWN Vista have little-to-no problems with it.

Yeah and people probably blame problems not even related to their operating system on it.

Vista is awesome once you get use to it, more secure and runs great on my PC
