for 1600 bucks

For wiring, get the Kicker PKD1 or PKD4 (depending on whether you need 1/0 or 4 gauge wiring. Don't forget to do the big 3, though reaching the alternator might be a bit tough. You will have to get under the car and take all the clips and bolts off for the cover. You will then see the alternator at the bottom. Would be a great time to change the oil as well since the filter and drain bolt are right there next to each other.

your system will only sound as good as its weakest link. and Bose just doesn't cut it. and if you keep the OEM nav system get a line driver or whatever the hell those things are...
He may not have the Bose setup. If he has the premium package then it has the bose. Also, you are using the factory HU without oem integration then you have to tap into some wires BEFORE the Bose amp (if you have it).

Check these links for more information.

so should i keep the bose speakers or no
I would definitley upgrade, otherwise your subs will overpower the front stage. You will need baffles, or spacers as the g35 guys call them and they should have them on ebay. Make sure you check the depth you have to work with before buying speakers. Roll your window down first when you do this. Also, there is a piece of metal as reinforcement that limits the depth. If that wasn't there, you wouldn't have to worry so much about depth.

I'd recommend getting sound deadener, either Second Skin or Raammat and deaden your doors. There are tutorials and whatnot in the forum I previously posted. I'd recommend getting an open cell foam and putting it between the door and door panel since they do rattle a bit (even with factory speakers they rattle).

I am not positive, but I think max depth with baffles is around 2.65" maybe a little more. For tweeters, a popular location is the A pillar. Here is a link to an install for a G35 showing the tweeter location in the A pillar.
