Folded Horn/TL's @ Home

Hey...my TC9+ saga continues.

I might have the chance in the coming weeks to purchase a folded horn enclosure for my homeless 15". It's 9 cubic feet overall, 2.7 cF in the sub chamber with 83 square inches of port. Tuned to around 30Hz. Power will be around 500-750W from a rack amp. Questions are as follows:

1) Would a folded horn such as this work well in home? I'm a little worried that the tuning is too high at 30Hz, but I'm not sure. I guess I should probably clarify my goals for this setup - 75% rock music, with 20% being rap/hip hop and the other 5% being HT.

2) If the tuning is alright for home use, how would this box spec out to the TC9+?

Box gurus are welcome to answer.

is this a hybrid horn/reflex with a front loaded folded horn with the driver's chamber ported? because if its not, thats not a folded horn. im assuming a SS knockoff. correct me if im wrong. exact physical dimensions of the enclosure would reveal its capabilities.

2) after getting in contact with the seller, the only way I'd be able to afford one of these beasts is if someone local builds one for me. Barring that, I'm not going broke over UPS fees //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

personally i like tl/folded horn boxes...they(imo) one tof the most effecient types of enclosures...but u have to get a woofer with the right parameters i.e. low qts, low fs.

to get the box to sound beautiful...i've built a tl box be4 and i used a fane colossal 18 in a 13cuft. tl box and it was tuned 2 around 23hz and thow lows was unbelievable..i will never forget the day my friend put a crown amp on it and he put it outside 4 a block party and he was shaking everyones window and setting of car alarms....those where the days
