Foil looking material on doors

I see a lot of pictures of what looks to be tinfoil on doors. I'm guessing the point of it is to keep door frames and whatnot from rattling too hard.

How much does it general run in terms of price range? also is it difficult to install yourself? do most door interiors just pop off and on easily?

Pretty easy to install. Just make sure the metal is clean and stick it on. Its a self-adhesive mat.

I'm confused... I thought you were supposed to wear a tinfoil hat so the government couldn't read your thoughts? Shielding the doors on your car adds another layer of protection from big brother reading your thoughts
