Yep you're seeing it right. There's no need for a high strength piece there. It's not somwhere where it will get hit and it doesn't have to support any weight to speak of. It will be just fine without any glass.

**** those suckers came out very very nice. i have done tweeter pods before and they are not easy, specially when they look as good as yours(mine sure didnt.)

Thanks for all the comments.

Going to put in another hour or so on the drivers side getting it flat ready for paint and might rub down some of the paint on the passenger side as it has some tiny bubbles in.

Nope, its Halfords satin black. If you are from England you will know how expensive and poor quality it is. But I was desperate one weekend and couldn’t wait.

Yep you're seeing it right.

Yeah that is right, they feel plenty strong enough. The fabric I used was quite an open weave so the resin soaked through nicely.

Erm, have been using 320, 600 on resin and 1000 for paint.

With a spray can/aerosol. The most expensive, worst quality paint you can get - thanks Halfords!

Couple of questions:

What do you think to connecting speakers/crossovers together with bullet connectors, like the ones shown:

And do I need to unwrap my crossovers out of the bubble wrap they came in, I left it on to protect them, but I heard that they can get hot???
